During the Cosmos season, which stretches from November to March here in
South Africa, every conceivable vase in my house is filled with them.
Here I placed them in a large blue enamel cooking pot on my kitchen
table as I had picked so many next to the road-side that al my vases
were full!
Out in the country, close by the roadside, there was a country-house. Certainly you yourself have once seen it. Before
it is a little garden with flowers and palings which are painted green.

South Africa is famous for its sunshine. It’s a relatively dry country,
with an average annual rainfall of about 464mm (compared to a world

Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal usually get snow in winter.
It’s mid-winter here in South Africa, so I couldn’t resist doing some
Spring blossoms, hoping for warmer weather which will soon be upon us.
